Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Trees waste downs with piss poor clock management.
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
ISU wasted too much time. Lost another chance for a TD. Going for a 25yd FG to sent to OT.
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Should have clocked it. Would have had two shots at end zone.
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
They should fake it. Piss in Stig's face.
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
OT. Hahahahahaha
All eleventy people in stands are getting their money's worth.
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Going to OT.
Jacks had a chance to come out of the weekend 2nd or 3rd in the polls. They might drop to the bottom of the top-10 if they blow this.
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Bison give up 31 points to UNI. SDSU gives up at least 48 to the Trees. WTF?
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Huge goal line stand by the Jacks force the Trees to settle for 3.
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
How is SDSU allowed to play music while the other team is snapping the football?

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
If you pay attention they actually play the music when their team is lining up for the game winning touchdown. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. LOLOL
Stupid bunnies. It amazes me how fan bases fail to understand what I think is basic knowledge of football let alone anyone paid to be part of the gameday atmosphere.

Yotes and Misery State went back and forth all game. How legit each team is still remains a mystery.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Idaho's inability to accept reality is almost matching the "Sioux Forever" crowd.
From their message board under the topic One Way Out
Quote:
1. Play FBS football in 2019
2. Play 3 bodybag games next year to bring actual revenue into the program.
3. Use the money to buy Petrino out.
4. Hire a new coach and forget that 2017-2019 ever happened.
Otherwise, we're a broke, hopeless athletic department with an unfireable football coach through 2023 at least.

They are completely delusional over there in Vandal land on how "good" they were in FBS, the reality is the actual quality of player they were getting in the horrible Sun Belt "FBS" conference is not better than what the top FCS schools get, big difference is they can get more kids and all are Full rides as opposed to Partials in FCS.
I read thru many threads over there bored one day in an airport and its LA LA Land

I've seen many teams come through the Dome. Mo State looked every bit the part of a solid MVFC squad. I was surprised they could turn it around so fast but they have. They'll be dangerous and win their fair share of games this season.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
We take recruiting for granted and our coaches have done a terrific job. KU lost half their commitments in the last week or so. They had 2 verbals and 1 decommitted. I'm not kidding. Carry on.

I'm watching that game now. Best quote by the announcer: "The play clock is all the way down to 24!"

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
What the hell did Arkansas State do to their field? It looks like they renamed their stadium and wanted to mark it on the field, but didn't want to pay for all new turf. So they cut out a rectangle and replaced it. But the replacement looks nothing like the rest of the turf. Different color, different texture, different style. Why, man, why?

Wisconsin Green Bay - Pioneer League Football???
Early stages of conversation to add non-scholarship FCS football - not the formal planning stage yet.
https://amp.greenbaypressgazette.com...mpression=true

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Would not want to see this happen. We recruit WI heavily and I know it's non-scholarship, but that could pull some kids away. Think develop at Green Bay and hope to transfer up to the Badgers.

Yup, me too. Am hoping Green Bay chooses to go teh hockies instead......:)
The Pioneer League, I would think, would sure like it.
They would pair nicely with Drake. League would really be different if both Green Bay and Augie chose FCS.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Wow. Maryland is an unholy mess. Investigation was toothless. Board of Reagents Reinstated disgraced coach over University President objection. President announced he was retiring at end of academic year. Players pissed, students pissed, legislature pissed, governor pissed. Whistle blower assaulted by teammates at first practice after coach returns. President fires coach. Board chair resigns. Accrediting body reviewing the whole thing.

Crazy stat I saw on /r/CFB: Nick Saban has 64 wins against ranked opponents while ranked #1 in the AP poll. Only four schools have more than that going back to the beginning of the AP poll in 1936. Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and USC. link

It looks like he’s actually ahead of Notre Dame as the list is sorted by games rather than wins. From a quick scroll through the fan guide on this site looks like NDSUs DI count is in the low to mid 20s.

True. Good catch, the poster even said he had more than ND in an earlier post.

MSU/OSU is a real battle of puds today.

Forget OSU, there's a path for UCF to actually get there after today. Notre Dame and LSU continue to lose. Michigan, WSU already lost. Ohio St, OU and Georgia lose their championship game. Not great odds, but better than they should be.

UCF after losing their QB for likely his career? Don't think the committee will ever do that.

I'm with ya. They'd put 1-loss P5's in before UCF.
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
If all that happened though the only one loss team would Norte dame. Clemson and Alabama would be undefeated. Qb or not it would make for great discussion whether you put a g5 undefeated in over a p5 two loss team.

Ohio State? Or were we assuming they lost to NW in the B1G title game?

They barely beat the gophers and Maryland this year, I'm sure OSU is up to the job of helping out ;)

The OSU that played today isn't losing to anyone not named Alabama.
But probably doesn't matter since it looks like ND has figured USC out.
edit: oops, that's not a ND interception
