Re: 2021 Verbal: Cole Payton
Tim Tebow was never even close to being a breakaway threat. He ran a 4.72 at the combine. Cole is easily a 4.5 guy with legitimate breakaway speed. As far as Tebow the passer: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/...im-tebows-game
Love Tim Tebow. His heart was bigger than Texas and he was tough as nails with elite leadership skills. Intangibles off the charts, but anybody can easily call Cole Payton the superior athlete. That said; Tebow was an awesome short yardage guy, where Cole has proven nothing special in that department.

Yep, he even kept the sociopaths pulling on the same rope.

Well, there it is, the kiss of death for Cole Payton. Lakes is now predicting he'll be a 2nd round draft pick next year.

Just wondering if anyone has ever seen Mel Kiper Jr. and Lakes together?

Doesn’t help that everyone knows the play on third and Cole.

Re: 2021 Verbal: Cole Payton
Look, I know there are problems in the world today, but, really? seriously? why the insipid negativity? Cole Payton IS....I repeat IS! theeee most exciting starting QB in Bison history.
Cole Payton IS! the kind of player who can carry a team; and with the OL situation, and IMO, the secondary situation, and the lack of depth on the interior DL, could very well be necessary for the Bison to be successful in 2025.
Be realistic, the Bison going to Tennessee in 2026 is NOT a done deal. There are serious weaknesses, it will take some serious strength at the Bison's areas of strength to win.
Payton's rushing combined with the talent of Chris Harris,Bryce Lance, Raja Nelson,Jackson Williams, and the grossly underrated Owen Johnson, could just render the defensive weaknesses null and void.
