I may have just put the whammy on him by making a comment before the tournament was over SlickVic! I didn’t really talk about the event in progress though. No wonder dufferole advocates the Kenny Rogers “Don’t count your winnings til the dealing’s done” philosophy! :frog:

$5 million in prize money for his last two weeks, and now up to 4th in the Fedex Cup standings. That long putter has worked well for him Pucknut!

I like how the seating bowl at the 1st tee resembles the outline of the colosseum. They should have included the sun shades though.

Cantlay singlehandedly willing the USA to that final point gives us a little hope. Halving that match would have likely sealed our fate, now we’re only a tad bit closer but with a HUGE shot in the arm.

That was a fine putt at the end.

He had a huge putt on 16 to halve that hole. And then stuffed his tee shot on 17 for birdie to win that hole. If the miracle happens tomorrow that 3 hole stretch is going to be the spark that ignited it and be remembered for a long time.

Indeed.
I wish we were getting a Cantlay/McIlroy match tomorrow after that testy exchange on 18 and out in the parking lot.

Is that an advance against his future winning like many of the other deals they’ve apparently done?

No such discussion in the Athletic article and as stated the dollar figure was published by the Telegraph. Might find more detail there behind their paywall.

After all his anti LIV talk, the Arabs filled his mouth up with enough money to change his mind.

Re: Masters Golf and Any Other Miscellaneous Golf Discussion
As of this morning my Slurpy Cup team (Hovland, Burns, S.W. Kim, Taylor) is getting crushed at The Sentry. A fellow captain has a team that is only one stroke back of UNBEATABLE. Not a good start to the season for this captain. Ugh.

I think not. He can be a pro for next week though.
Aaaaaaaaaand, he just earned an invite to Augusta.*
* nope. He was already invited as reigning US Amateur Champ. So he earned it again.

Besides his Augusta invite, also got himself full, exempt tour status for the next two years, along with invites to other "higher end" tourneys along the way...kid should have announced that he was turning pro right after he signed his card.
