If you watch the replay they had the qb accounted for. Whether or not they make the play we would never know. I'm just saying you have your cbs go up and jam the receivers and just hold on to them. Take the penalty and make Clemson make a move.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Epic game last night, people still talking about it today. A big boost for college football, not that it was needed. So glad NDSU's strength is in the pinnacle of college sports!

I'm not sure how it can really be considered a pick considering the Bama defender was basically tackling the other reciever and was the one initiating contact. The defender covering Renfrow was never touched

Not if they recovered it with their knee on the ground just like the Clemson player did. Risky strategy I think.

also in the coaches film room call here, the coaches seem to anonymously agree that it was not a pick once they see the replay

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
James Madison should be tested some this Saturday at home vs #11 Villanova. Game is at 2:30 Central Time.
In terms of a common opponent played this year to date:
Villanova shut out Maine 31-0 at HOME on October 7th.
James Madison defeated Maine 28-10 at HOME on September 23rd.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Saw mention of this on Bisonation, here is an article on Iowa AD Gary Barta and his health issues.
Quote:
Iowa athletic director Gary Barta has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and will take an extended medical leave to undergo surgery and treatment, the university confirmed Tuesday.
He will return to work as soon as his recovery allows.
http://www.hawkcentral.com/story/spo...nce/749765001/
For those not familiar with the name, Gary Barta was a QB at NDSU in the 1980’s. Bio says he was a member of the National Championship teams of 1983, 1985, 1986.
Barta has made quite a career for himself, rising to the Athletic Director job at Iowa in 2006.

Looks like Villanova dealing with injuries, STATS picks JMU to win 24-14

Villanova's offense has been decimated by injuries (WR Changa Hodge, TE Ryan Bell, RB Matt Gudzak, QB Zach Bednarczyk) and seeks to play ball control without overwhelming redshirt freshman QB Jack Schetelich ('Nova had 47 rushes and eight pass attempts in his first start against Maine).

#2 Clemson in a battle, trailing Syracuse 27-24 with 8 minutes to go in the game.
Is it just me, or does Syracuse have the ugliest uniforms (the numbers are all stretched out at the bottom). Looks like something out of freakin' grade school.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Is this really happening? If Clemson loses here are they out?
Kids getting ready to storm field
-
Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
Too bad Clemson lost, but there is a bright side.
By my calculations, here are the longest active non-home winning streaks against P5 competition:
Oklahoma 8
NDSU 5
Georgia 4
Miami 4
Ohio State 4
Wisconsin 4

Yeah, I thought those uniforms looked like the numbers were duct tape.
#8 Washington State down by 14 at half in an almost empty stadium.

Re: College Football FBS/FCS discussion thread
WSU prolly eliminated. Clemson will be fine if their QB can come back healthy.

They're smart enough to get paid P5 money for running FCS programs.

Doesn't appear to be 'shopped since the image comes from twincities.com.

It's probably appropriate in this case.

I’m with you. I thought the whole row the boat thing was a joke from day one. I guess you’re either all the way in or you’re out and the goofs are in all the way.
