The student-athletes don't have to be taking "summer classes", per se, but they do have to be enrolled in a phy ed conditioning class, which is a 1 or 2 credit deal. My recollection is that the student-athlete has to pay for this themselves as their scholarship only covers the 'regular' academic year and does not include summer sessions.Quote:

I sure hope all these incoming kids show up this summer and bust their you know what. If they do it could send a message to the current players to step up or get bumped down in the depth chart.

So recruiting kickers is different and takes longer, but how much longer?
