Still surprised MW is willing to dig that deep to be in Texas. Might be that they looked at SHSU and Tarleton, and saw that Tarleton has better facilities and support. SHSU is some high school level shit in terms of facilities and fanbase. Tarleton has more financial support as well. They get Texas A&M system oil money.

Texas St wants PAC not MWC is my guess so that play by MWC makes sense. Take MWC offer or be left with nothing.
In a world of fewer HS students and declining enrollments you need exposure where you can recruit students for the school. Advantage: Texas.
