A new and better FBS thread

Current scoreboard:

PAC at 7, must add one more
MWC at 6 full members, must add 2. Rumors of a play for Texas St and UTEP.

We want PAC to take another MWC school, and Texas St/UTEP to say no.

MWC is our realistic path in, if everything falls right.

AP reporting Utah St and UNLV were the PAC targets, and UNLV might still be in play:

UNLV going to be gone. There’s no way they stay as things currently sit.

All that’s left to see is does the MW add 2 or add 4 and who they are. This was always the most likely scenario. Can’t fault PAC for kicking the tires on the AAC or MW for trying to hold it together.

Can add from CUSA or FCS. No one else is shipping out west for them at this point.

Per sources, UNLV officials are expected to huddle tonight to further evaluate options. They would have committed to the MWC if all eight school were in. Now they've pivoted back to exploring.

After that, MWC will likely formulate their plan and move next (presuming UNLV leaves).

MWC realistically is looking at Texas St, UTEP, NMSU, SHSU, or some set of FCS.
They won't pull from eastern CUSA imo.

If they go FCS, its Dakotas, Big Sky, and Texas schools in play.

Montanas plus xDSU as a package would ideal.

Why would Texas State leave for the MW? Money not going to be better. Travel not going to be better. Conference footprint not going to be better.

Not a Vikings fan but I assume this is what they feel like. Already resigned to the MW adding only NMSU and UTEP. The universe doesn’t want an FBS NDSU
