Nudell and Jacobson were great high school scorers. How did that translate? You need players that can play a team game. These kids can all score they just don’t have to in. Jacobson needed the ball in her hands in high school. Didn’t translate at ndsu.Quote:

Kaysia Woods 6 Ft from Lincoln NE gets an offer from NDSU.. Colgate 2 weeks ago... had a offer from Colo St , K State and Wichita St as a Fresh & Soph in July 17 & 18 which are probably long gone. good skills though and will only be a junior .

If it is an ACL, she misses her senior season, but would be available at the start of Freshman year of college. Do the schools that she narrowed her list then just red shirt her for another year of rehab?
It has been interesting following her as she has wanted to play both Volleyball and Basketball in college. Don't know how that would work or if it can be done.
Wish her well nonetheless.
She did tear her ACL. The 3 schools still in contention are aware of the injury and all are still on board with the plan to play both basketball and volleyball.
That is really too bad for the injury. Hope she can make the full recovery and continue to live the dream.Quote:

I have a lot of faith in Coach Collins to bring in the right players to move this program forward. Cobbins is really good and will only improve. There are players currently that can help us win as well. This really is an exciting time for Ladies Hoops at NDSU.Quote:

I have seen her play at BSC against a few of the better teams in their conference and she is one of those sneaky scorers because she gets points in all sorts of different ways. All of sudden she is in the 20's. A number of us that have watched women's BB for years all believe she can play at that level so I am not the only one saying this. I will say when NDSU went DI this is the one program I thought would succeed right away so it looks like I was wrong about that. However, SDSU has dominated with mainly all local talent so go figure. Good question Tony. I don't have an answer for that. She is a coaches dream as she plays all out all the time. She won the class B high jump so she has some athletic ability. She reminds me of a slightly shorter Kasey Morlock. Maybe she is borderline recruit I don't know as she is being recruited by MSU and other D2 schools as well, but coaches miss on people all the time. IE Adam Thielen is an easy example. Some kids get better each and every year and she has been one of those individuals. I guess Jory has asked her to walk on.
