As I've been saying for a while, this is the scenario that gives us an opening.
PAC poaches top of MWC, now MWC needs to backfill. It was never going to happen another way.

Also, for all the naysayers, ML will look brilliant if this works out.
I'll take a rebuilt MWC a million times over the garbage that is CUSA, and also over MAC too.

While I suspect he “knows” we are at least making a full fledge press, uncertain if anything is official or done yet. Lots of moving parts and may take time for the dust to settle, and a formal invite would require the existing MWC schools to vote us in.

That suggests to me it isn’t done yet perhaps.

And I know a lot of people would love that scenario, but there is about a 1 in a bazillion chance the PAC go that direction. They will likely look outside both MWC and FCS for additional schools. I’m thinking most likely two top AAC schools will join them initially to get to 8. That would keep PAC alive and give it a strong base to build on later if they choose.
