Somewhat apples and oranges to me......it’s so late in the recruiting season that you might not be able to find that many players who can contribute the next 2-5 seasons.
Dickinson commit Gabby Jung has not shown up on the new roster, or been listed yet as signing a LOI. Will be interesting to see if Coach Collins re-recruits her. Anyone know?
That looks like 4 scholarships left - really hope a JC point guard can be found at this late date in recruiting.
There is only 1 senior for next season, so would think a couple schollies will end up being banked where Coach Collins has a full recruiting season. Even that will be tough as it seems like, on average women players commit earlier than men.
e.g. Tylee Irwin committed to SDSU before her senior season
e.g. SDSU already has five 2020 commits

For a good Division I players, the women generally commit before the end of July. Only a handful of the top recruits will wait until after that point. Especially among mid-majors, the girls want to be committed by June or July. Why? Because schools over–offer. They may offer 12 or more girls for three spots. And unless you are the number one target, they don’t hold that spot for you. So, at this point in the game, what you want to look for are transfers or JUCO’s...

Illinois State was an early offer for her. Oh well, i just thought that was a funky shot

Re: Catch all Recruiting thread
This team needs a Post and a pg. should be the main focus...
-
Re: Catch all Recruiting thread
She runs the floor well and uses her body for position.

Re: Catch all Recruiting thread
Point Guard for sure.
but what NDSU womens basketball REALLY needs .......... is a bonafide Shooter, someone that has put up 30+ in High School games and would have the green light always.

I guess this team lacks everywhere. Eurpoean players never heard the word "rebound" it seems... Players would play 35 to 40 minutes and garner 1 or 2 boards. I mean really, you'd think that if they play that many minutes, the ball surely would fall in their lap more than twice.... Goodness... there was nothing you could salvage, nothing positive from the team Jory is taking over. I hope he's a good coach, starting with fundamental footwork and defense. I hope he gets a pure shooter. I hope he gets a pg who is a floor leader. I hope her gets big mobile girls who can play in the post. sooo much work to be done. This aint d2.....

That was Sara Jacobson. Also wasn’t or isn’t nudell the all time leading scorer in Nd history?
So don’t know if that is the answer
The Minnesota versions from Roseau are attending msum and und.
All full roster in which the freshman class can redshirt. Get stronger and build confidence is probably a bigger need

Re: Catch all Recruiting thread
Now for some good news:
Serena Sundall (yes thats jalens brother) got a NDSU offer and said this:
Honored to receive an offer to be a Bison! I have inside knowledge that NDSU is a special place! Excited to see where this program goes with @JoryCollins in charge! https://t.co/5adAALFrQC
Providence just offerred too, so long shot, but her brother could be the hook.

She is the scorer that you talked about about. Shoots a lot of 3's . 5' 11 point guard. average double digits in assists as well.

someone from Missouri isn't going to Providence RI unless they have family there.
Kansas State and Creighton would be front runners as they are better than NDSU.
But she played as freshman in HS, coming to Fargo you step right in as a starter. Cause that is what freshman do.

She could be the first player to start the turn around for the program and become a legend.

Yeah, cuz she was going to be the one to take us to the NCAA tourney this year. Why is it so hard for you to not be an asshole and be optimistic for this program getting a fresh start. Your post is the exact same thing I thought when you got out of jail.
Welcome to NDSU ladies!

Re: Catch all Recruiting thread
actually. yes I do think Heaven would've been worth at least 10 more wins for this team. how is that being an A hole? seemed pretty positive & exciting to me! man....

not the best offers. can NDSU beat out another D1 school? who was last recruit to do so?

Re: Catch all Recruiting thread
Ndsu hasn’t proven to be better than most d1 schools lately It’ll take a few years of winning to beat out bigger schools

Wouldn't you be more nervous if the new coach was NOT out recruiting, rather than being nervous about what he is recruiting. At least give him a chance..My oh My

Don't they have 6-8 roster spots to fill? Thus bring in a variety to fill the bench and if possible red shirt the freshman like they need to do.
My daughter was at UND camp this week. The three ND recruits. Manson, Kepler and Zander all indicated to the campers they are redshirting.
Now obviously things can change, but the I don't know the last year NDSU were able to have the freshman sit.
UND had 35-38 kids at there camp.
I heard NDSU was "happy" with their camp last week. I have not heard who all attended locally.

Re: Catch all Recruiting thread
Welcome abby schulte.
Per tweet on Dom Izzo's page. Jory got his first 2020 commitment. "Maple Grove standout commits to #NDSU. First commit for the Class of 2020 for Jory Collins."
I did some digging and she is a PG. Cant find any stats or her height.
Here is Abby's Twitter feed announcing: https://twitter.com/abby_schulte24/s...01832552304641
Here is a link to a story about her and it talks about her being an incredible team mate, has a 3.9 GPA, and a leader.. https://ccxmedia.org/sports/sports-j...-abby-schulte/
