Says a whole heck of a lot about Sarah and her family versus her former head coach who continues to disappoint and disgust. This is a really really bad look for the program(which is saying something) and even the AD.

Do they even have enough to scrimmage in practice?
Your "highly" touted ND recruits LEAVE the program besides MV product--- how is that ever good?
Saw Moorhead St. women's coach COY in their conference---- ND has some good talent----MN has excellent talent----
NDSU Women's Basketball NEEDS HIGHER EXPECTATIONS-----
I think I read somewhere that she might stay at NDSU and maybe not play basketball. I think she's waiting to see who the new coach will be.
Amber Stevahn from BSC had 44 last night in their conference championship. She is a prime example of someone we did not recruit and redshirt because we cannot see good local talent. This is the type of person the football team just doesn’t miss on locally.
Women's basketball program is an absolute dumpster fire, but this is bull shit. Stevahn wasn't a Miss Basketball candidate or 1st team all state, she was a good high school player. If she was missed by NDSU she also missed by all the other 4 year schools in the state too.
You obviously never saw her play then. She was on Shiloh Christian's undefeated team last year that was the best team in the state that was upset by a really good Grant County team and should have been 1st team all state if people actually pay attention to more than just points as she fills the stat sheet. She won the state high jump placed in cross country and is 5'11" with long arms and very athletic. She is more athletic than players we currently have. She led a team her sophomore year to the state title against Kilvang and was the best player on the floor. Sorry, I could see the talent years ago and stated it on this board. She didn't change anything from last year to this year but was just was asked to score more. She led JUCO BB with 25 a game on 57% shooting. Not bad for someone that wasn't first team I guess.
I would recruit someone 5'11" that is really athletic that just needs to develop a three point shot all day long. She would make threes just didn't shoot them that often.
I watched her 3 games in the state tournament her sophomore year. She was a good player, but no one that screamed D1 player. To say she led her team to the state title and was the best player on the floor is a HUGE stretch. She didn't even make the all tournament team. Krista Ulmer was the best player on that team.

2019 Dickinson standout, Gabby Jung, has committed to play basketball at North Dakota State... She averaged 19 PPG & 6 RPG this season for the Midgets...
Gabby Jung, 5’ 10”, named to the 2019 All-WDA Team:

Appearing in 20 games this season, Jung was the region’s second-leading scorer at 19.4 points per game. She also averaged 2.6 steals and one block a contest, good enough for fourth and sixth in the conference, respectively.
Jung shoots the ball from her hip. At least from the hilights that were attached to this thread. That would need to be fixed. But this current staff is incapable of coaching so I guess its a lost cause... I thought gaslarova had a bad lookin' shot, but again, this staff has no clue how to coach, so I don't have high expectations.
UND got all three miss basketball candidates to come there. I guess NDSU can get whats left out west.
I saw last night that the top 3 candidates for Miss Basketball in ND are all UND commits. Don't really know much about the players or if it's a good thing or bad thing for UND. But it is interesting.
It is unacceptable
The youngest Borowicz sister, Katie, from Roseau had 19 assists in the 3rd place game at the AA state tournament.
Kacie is a UND recruit and Kiley plays at MSUM.
Im fine with missing out on nd girls basketball players.
Twin Cities is where we need to recruit. Period. End of Story.
So what is the status of the players (if any) that Walseth recruited for next season? I assume any new recruit commitments are on hold pending the arrival of a new coach?
Now there you go again, Chap, with the Minny/St. Paul spiel. Aaron Johnston would beg to differ. The Jack women compete quite well nationally with home state talent with the likes of Macy Miller from Mitchell, Tagen Larson from SF, Burckhard from Aberdeen, Myah Selland from Letcher (yes, Letcher by way of Woonsocket High School), Megan Bultsma from Plankinton. Throw in a ND kid like Tylee Irwin from Wapheton and, suddenly, you have the makings of a nationally ranked team...... Where you are from doesn't mean squat.
amy made a hall of fame career out of small town no dak gals and the coach at sdsus doing the same thing-------imagine irwin and the baseball pitcher from moorhead at ndsu my oh my what might have been
Think it was Dom who tweeted that Katie has an offer from SDSU.
edit: yes, here is what Izzo retweeted:

Goodluck to SDSU tonight facing Oregon!! I’m honored to have received an offer from a sweet sixteen team - SDSU #gojackrabbits
yes and no about where you come from...... Level of competition has a huge impact. and to be sure unless these players are out in AAU playing in national tournaments, they are in for a rude awakening.... Which may be the case for the ND kids we've recruited... All time scorer in ND really doesnt mean squat... as evident by our current roster...
Good question. You'd hope NDSU is going after the same kids as the other mid-majors in the region: SDSU, USD, North Dakota, Creighton, Drake, UW-Green Bay, UW-Milwaukee and there is a big difference. NDSU is at the bottom of that list as far as basketball programs go. Only a guess, but it would be a tough sell to a recruit who can choose between any of those other schools.
Maybe a tough sell as of now, but if the new coach immediately released the foreign players that would free up significant minutes to recruits and possible juco transfers, or d1 transfers to play right out of the gate. d1's would redshirt, but an opportunity for sure after...
I missed Roadwarriors honest takes..

0 NDSU commits
There is plenty of playing time available for good recruits or transfers to jump start this program back. New coach hire is sooooooo important.
not trying to be rude. but since maren is gone do we still honor her 1 verbal on Wednesday?
"She’d spoken with nearby Division III schools Concordia and Carroll University before a late offer by NDSU.
“It’s always been a goal of mine but didn’t think I’d be lucky enough to get one,” Behnke said of a Division I scholarship. “It’s kind of like winning the lottery.”
i mean , Only D3 offers. 12 ppg as a 6 2 senior?
if im wrong Elephants Dream tell me and ill delete, since theres a coaching coach i was curious & think its a valid discussion to have on a message board

thats true PL
i was waiting for elephants or bisonette opinion as they are the WBB alums on here
She did have a surgical procedure done in August on a foot that had a broken bone (s?)
so was coming back from that. Wants to major in sonography, which NDSU has, so that guided the schools she would consider.

There was a second commit as well,
If both still sign with NDSU, looks like 12 schollies accounted for, leaving 3 for the new coach. (for this year, or bank 1-3 for next year being so late in recruiting season)Quote:

Macey Kvilvang transferring to Valley City State
So, 12 on scholarships and 1-3 to bank for Coach Collins ? I don't see the sense in banking schollies. The Bison came to SF for the SL tourney with 8, yes, 8 players dressed to play. If Entz banked scholarships, BV would be grabbing pitchforks and torches...…..or, is this an apples to oranges comparison ?
If I was coach Jory. I would cut some bait with players and current recruits. Just say "well, Im the new coach, sorry, but I need to change some things here at NDSU"
