They have communicated their desire to explore an FBS offer and they have stated they will be ready to respond to one when it comes. I am worried the transfer portal may take a bite out of future success because we won’t be able to keep the elite talent from leaving for bigger $$$. Our development system is really uprooted when kids can leave on a whim

Maybe, or maybe there is some adjustment to the transfer portal that evens things out a bit and there is more predictability. Everyone is dealing with it. Those who adjust best will rise and those that don’t won’t. The transfer portal isn’t going to affect NDSU anymore than their competitors whether they’re FCS or FBS.

Only difference is we are developing elite players every year and other teams might only have one every few years. Impact on our program is greater
