We are going to lose Cole Payton. He has the potential to be great, really great. He won't spend another season on the bench. He is the best ball carrier on the team, and I'm sure he would be far more lethal catching passes that any of our TE's or FB's.
Cole should have close to 20 touches every game, including at least 5 throwing attempts. This kid is an extreme weapon and the ball needs to be in his hands.

For me it comes down to this. I just don’t think it’s going to be that hard to find a qb with Cole’s ability, while I do think it would be hard to find a qb with Cam’s ability. Cole just hasn’t shown me that he can be a reliable qb at this level. Especially since we apparently can’t run the ball like we used to. Cam can make plays if we get behind the chains. I don’t think Cole can make those throws if we get to 2nd or 3rd and long.Quote:
