I like MWC a ton for the competition and teams in the league. Don't think I would make quite as many games in person though.
Just looked, it seems like majority of MWC games kickoff between 6:00-9:30pm central.

Would still enjoy the heck out of watching it on television.
If the MW or TV schedule forced NDSU to play Saturday 6pm home games (big if, btw), I’m sure it’d take some adjusting. Saturday night lights doesn’t sound half bad, especially if we’re winning.
Re: A new and better FBS thread
In a weird way, a slow burndown of the PAC 10 might be better for NDSU.
If OU and UW renew for a short contract to manage their transition, but the 4 Corners schools exit, the conference might not collapse.
PAC 10 replaces the 4 Corners with SDSU and SMU then two of Fresno | Boise | CSU | UNLV. Then when OU and UW exit, the PAC could pick up the last two. The advantage is that the OGs (Stanford, WSU, OSU, Cal) would pick up the exit fees and control the conference, rather than going independent or going into the MWC.
The OGs in the MWC would get the same benefit on exit fees. Not sure who the MWC would add but you would think the FCS would need to be in play because NMSU and UTEP would be the only FBS schools in the footprint.

Even if the mountain west loses up to four teams I like that better than the MAC. And that’s before even taking the MACtion Tuesday games into account

People said the same when we were looking at an FCS conference, everyone was hoping for the Big Sky and look what happened once the Gateway took NDSU & SDSU, it has become the top conference in FCS. I'd be willing to bet the same could happen if the MAC were to take NDSU and SDSU. Eventually the MAC could overtake the MWC IMO. It wasn't that long ago they were one of the top G5 conferences. I prefer the MAC option for our recruiting footprint, B1G scheduling and TV/game times.

The MVFC became what it has become because NDSU and SDSU willed it into being. Take the XDSU’s and put them in the Big Sky and think of the monster that conference would be in comparison to the MVFC.
If the MW gets gutted, then I may switch my desire to the MAC, but until then I’ll stay with the MW. Western flagship land grant institutions. Just like it was always meant to be.
All said, I’ll take any FBS invite out there…

If the claims of all the eyeballs are why the MWC would supposedly consider NDSU, you don't think the networks paying the media deals are going to be dictating what time they play in order to put them in an empty timeslot in front of said supposed eyeballs? I don't see a ton of scenarios where a home game is starting at 10pm, but there would be a lot of control giving up and could see multiple games a year with kickoff well after 6pm.
Seems like you are asking to have your cake and eat it too.

Is a gutted MWC all that attractive to NDSU ?

Just checked two MW schools schedules from last year. 3 or 4 230 central kickoffs a couple 6pm central kickoffs and 2 or 3 later than 6pm kickoffs.
What have I said that contradicts that? You UNDers really struggle with reality sometimes. “Have my cake and eat it too” lol

You are probably correct that it won't get gutted. However, if the Pac 12 does get gutted, they will backfill with MW schools.
