Wentz only carries the ball by choice 3-5 times (max) per game by design, as the coaching staff does not think either Davis or McGinniss (sp?) are ready to step in and lead us to the PO's/through the MVFC.
Additionally, Wentz needs to manage the clock better in both blow-out and close games, as in run the play clock down closer to 4-5 seconds before asking for the snap. Also, they should stay in the huddle a bit longer and get up to the LOS with 12-15 seconds on the play clock.
IMO, the reason he needs to do the above two things is two-fold. First, it lessons significantly the time opposing teams will have the ball at the end of the half and game, and in general. Secondly, it allows our Oline to rest and catch their breath. I think you all can agree that having 10 seconds more to catch your breath helps big time. We were routinely snapping the ball with 15 seconds left on the play clock well into the 4th quarter and when we were up two scores. He need to get better at that!!
Lastly, the jury is still out on Polasek play calling.
