Like I said, Vernon's stats were like video game stats. I haven't seen Prukop play, maybe he has more physical tools/prototypical talent while being a decent runner.
Add Michigan to the list interested in Montana State's QB.....

Montana defensive coordinator Ty Gregorak, a fiery leader with a track record of success, is taking his coaching experience to Montana State.
The 37-year-old will serve as defensive coordinator under Bobcats first-year head football coach Jeff Choate. Gregorak informed a gathering of Griz players on Monday.

More on new Montana State Head Coach Jeff Choate hiring Montana's
defensive coordinator Ty Gregorak
Quote:
Gregorak and Choate met years ago through former Montana head coach Mick Delaney, who coached at Choate’s alma mater, Western Montana College (now UM Western).
“I’ve always felt we think about football in a similar way,” Choate said. “I think it should be a great fit.

I don't buy the logic that "NDSU is winning a lot in the FCS so they should move up to FBS" any more than I bought the "NDSU just had a losing season in D2 so it's crazy to move up to DI" back in the day.
We've seen what happens when other programs (like UND) half-ass their move and it isn't pretty. If NDSU moves up, there has to be a plan (not a pipe dream) to get to the top of their new conference with coaching salaries, income, recruiting budget, and facilities. And, of course, there has to be a conference willing to let a shark into their fish tank.
Western Illinois has 2 finalists for head coach job, Charlie Fisher and
Rob Ash. Ash was recently let go as Head Coach by Montana State.

Fisher has spent the last two years as the associate head coach at Richmond, working as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. This season, the Spiders advanced to the semifinals of the FCS playoffs (10-4 overall record) while earning a 'Top 10' national ranking.

Minnesota Gopher QB Jaques Perra to transfer, was 3rd team back-up.

On a good day for the Gophers note, they got their first verbal from
Blaise Andries - Marshall MN - OL - 6' 6" 290 (possible top-rated MN recruit)
Andries was a national recruit with offers from Oregon, Oklahoma and
Nebraska, among many. He also was a teammate of WR Drew Hmielewski,
who was a 2016 offer by NDSU, but eventually picked Minnesota.
Article from StarTrib on James Johannesson

Quote:
"He's somebody that keeps getting better and better," coach Tracy Claeys said. "... He’s maybe our most improved player on offense from the day we started [spring practice]."
"I think sometimes he probably thinks we are crazy for all the middle drill that we do and how many times we turn around and hand it off," Claeys said. "He’s learned how to run the ball inside. That is something that he couldn’t do when he first got out there. He’s learned how to get the ball up inside and be patient on some cuts, so very proud of him."
Claeys said Johannesson needs to "lower his pad level" more to "avoid some of the big hits," but it appears the Gophers have found some of the depth they'll need at running back......
