I just think it's the same navel gazing conversation we have twice a year every year. Brian Shawn had the best take on it, have an exit strategy but no benefit to moving up anytime soon.
Mr Montana says we have all the money, perhaps he didn't realize how freaking long it took to get the BSA renovation money raised. Of course, he's on the TV so he is so smrt.
Re: Are we the big bad bully beating up on midgets now?
DJ Colter is a former montana player and a dam good one, his brother was dam good and lost early in life.
DJ Colter has a family and wife IN FARGO, They will always Love Montana and they will always be NDSU fans.
nothing to see here, move along.
Oh guess, what DJ wants NDSU TO GO FBS! so does a lot of people who are getting shouted down online & not allowed to post their opinions on boardS!
Re: Are we the big bad bully beating up on midgets now?
Seems like the only thing up for debate on that panel was the timing relative to what the P5 do which is, I think, the position of many people that tend to get pigeonholed as anti- by the overly anxious wing of the FBS enthusiasts.

You could have just led with this, it's what you care about anyway.
Didn't we just have this discussion on Facebook a couple days ago? Post your 10 reasons again.

How in the hell is that relevant to the conversation? I know a lot of guys who were in your words "dam good"...doesn't mean jack squat.

I think rabid Bison fans would show up if the game was meaningful.
How are all the outdoor stadium fans so sure that there will not continue to be a playoff system in the 2nd tier when P5 breaks off? Also having been home grown ND I have seen plenty of end of October snow that never disappears until spring. I too miss outdoor football in September but the comfort for the Nov. games and lately December season trumps the 2-3 games a year where outdoor would be preferable. If the time comes that an investment is made in a new facility they would want to maximize attendence which means catering to the crowd that has enjoyed indoor football for almost 25 years now.

Exactly. Indoors or bust.

It took me some time to get used to the dome. I love it now. It would be stupid to build a new facility in Fargo ND that wasnt a dome.

So at the championship game my son asked me, "Do other teams play outdoors like this sometime, or is this just for the championship game?" I laughed pretty hard at that one. This was his first game other than at the dome...and he naturally thought football must be an indoor sport.

I had a similar conversation with my son when I had to explain that the Bison don't win every game. He gave me a confused look. Does not compute.
