Pretty easy answer from someone who knows I’m sure, but: generally doctors are held accountable by other doctors (lawyers by other lawyers, engineers by other engineers), but who holds college trainers accountable. I mean we should all expect an FBS school to have an MD on staff that can figure out brain injuries, but if they don’t and risk someone’s life, who holds them accountable? Why is it the coach/AD?
