BACK TO THE GOPHER GAME. tickets are insane online for this game.
$175/200 is the average ticket for anything below row 10.
50,000 seats at $100/average ticket scalping price is incredible.
Lakes: How much does a suite cost, and how many do they hold? Maybe some of should consider that as an option.

I don't care about the suite retardo. I was talking about regular seats. So, again, quit being a cheapa*s because you decided to be dumb and pay.

Didn't the 2007 pummeling teach them anything?!
Didn't the refresher course taught by SDU last year do anything for these freaks?!

No, it didn't teach them anything. They're Goofer fans. Not exactly the smartest bunch. If the UMD Bulldogs played them three seasons in a row and kicked their behinds the first two years they played, their average fan prediction for the year 3 game against UMD would be, "meh, we should have no problem beating them... It'll be a good warmup for the Illinois game."
Yeah, UND fans are arrogant and entitled as all get-out, and SDSU fans get really uppity at the slightest temporary uptick of success, but at least both those fanbases have a general sense of intelligence. Goofer fans on the other hand, are, well... How smart are you if your favourite college team has had the 4+ decades of futility that Minnesota has had??
"At least our team isn't Division II." -Goofer student fan talking to his NDSU friend outside the Metrodome during a TV interview on 10-21-2007
-
Re: 2011 Gopher Game... Let the Planning Begin
Under the worst-case scenario predictions from Goofer fans on that board, the seasons where they predict 4-8 and 3-9, they STILL have NDSU penciled in as a win.
There's NO WAY IN HELL that NDSU this year loses to a 3-9 or 4-8 Gopher team. A 7-5 or 8-4 one, sure. I can believe that. But if the Gophers go 3-9, it'll mean they can't beat some teams on their schedule who aren't that far off talent-wise from NDSU.
I haven't yet seen anyone on their board predict them to lose to New Mexico State yet beat us. The first person to predict such a thing needs to be locked up in the looney bin.
BTW, calling NDSU the "Fighting Sioux" over there is lame and unimaginative. Can't wait for us to go down there and deliver unto them Ass-kicking Number 2. Maybe then they'll call us by our real nickname.

While I'm not one to poop on anyone's parade, let's keep in mind that we only beat a 3-win Kansas team riddled with Orange-Bowl-success recruits by 3 points. I think we win this game but I'm not sure it's as sure a thing as you're making it out to be. That said, Go Bison.

Re: 2011 Gopher Game... Let the Planning Begin
I was on Stub Hub today checking out ticket prices and noticed the game time says 1:00 pm...However, a quick visit to GopherSports.com showed that the game time was TBD...I assume this will be based on what the B10(12) Network wants to do? Not that it really matters, I just found it curious.
Also, tickets will cost $35 each according to the Gopher site.

Re: 2011 Gopher Game... Let the Planning Begin
There were 23 tickets available in Section 103, rows 15, 17, 18, & 19 on StubHub...not anymore. :) Feel a bit of relief having purchased them, as I was getting sick of constantly checking all the different ticket brokers.
BISON HOME GAME!!!!!

Re: 2011 Gopher Game... Let the Planning Begin
I really hope that this game means more to the fans than the players. I have no idea what to expect out of this game and the attitude around here is making me a little worried. Let's not forget, the greatest Bison team in memory outplayed the worst FBS team in memory all day in almost every phase of the game and won by 6 last time.
At the end of the day, winning the MN game means less than winning the conference, making another memorable playoff run, and to me I'd take sweeping the UNI/SDSU pack over another FBS win.
Let's take this game for what it is. A sideshow for the alums who live in MSP. Which is a lot. I still think that there are more NDSU alums in the metro area than any other place on earth. So it will be a great day no matter what the scoreboard says as long as there are no serious injuries.

I just bought some tickets for a different game from StubHub. They never used to have a $20 fee added on, did they?

Don't know what they used to do, but I just bought some Twins tickets this weekend and got hit with a $50 fee purchasing 6 tickets

I remember it being just the cost plus shipping.
Maybe they're getting Ticketmaster envy.
-
Re: 2011 Gopher Game... Let the Planning Begin
StubHub adds a 10% charge on the selling price + a delivery charge. They were doing that for Twins games that I bought last year.
-

You "bought" some of the Twins games? Road, is that why we lost to the Yanks the way we did in the playoffs? Scandolous!!!!!!!:)

I think they charged the seller originally, so the buyer didn't see the costs.
-
Re: 2011 Gopher Game... Let the Planning Begin
Figures a lawyer would pick apart my choice of words!
StubHub also charges the seller 15%, so yes they are as greedy as Ticketmaster.
