The one thing that stood out to me is the running backs werent running blind in to the offensive lines backside time after time. When they got the ball they looked to see what was open. If there was nothing they broke to the outside and did well in doing so.
This is a good observation and a big deal... coming into this game USD RB Phillips was averaging over 5 yards per carry after contact. I don’t know what is was in this game but I don’t recall much for missed tackles. Kudos to Coach Olson for appearing to get that tackling issues that have cropped up over the last couple seasons before this under control so far this season.Quote:
