And what is the monetary value of these "fans"?
Also probably worth mentioning that those 3 "examples" are also in metros that are between 3-10x the size of Fargo.
Probably worth the brain power of about 2-3 college hockey fans...

We would definitely have to do something. We are skating by right now under the interest prong of Title IX.
If we had to add sports my vote would be for women's wrestling and LaCrosse.

Cincy or CCU? Cincy has been FBS for decades.

I'd ask if that's the most clever response you are able to come up with but you've proven out the answer to that enough times in the past.

It was the first thing that popped into my head and I got a fair amount of rep for it. Feel ok about it. Super worried that you don’t think I’m smart though... oh no what ever will I do?!

That will never happen, but as others have pointed out, that doesn’t need to happen for NDSU to be relevant. They already are to some extent. MOST fans of P5 schools know who NDSU is. If we are G5, with more opportunities to play those schools, you can bet your ass they will know our name.
Knowing your name and generating new fans that turn into revenue when you play San Jose State on tv are a little different. Especially if you expect that number of eyeballs year in and year out, and not just for a one off.
NDSU will literally never be a big ten school. Big xii maybe with stepping stones, money and luck. Either way, you aren't going to generate 100,000 ndsu fans in (pick one) New York, California, Texas, Florida even if you win the big xii championship over and over. If you want ndsu to really be a p5 school you need to develop billionaire alumni. Cause that's the only way it's happening anytime soon.

To handle the Title IX issues, I suggest adding the following women's sports:
Mud wrestling
Sand volleyball
Bikini football
Problem solved.
