- I matriculated, at GSU, in 1981 & graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1987. I was a business major at first, dropped out & then went back and graduated with a Middle School Ed. Degree. I was at GSC when Erk Russel restarted the Football program in 1981. GSC started running the Spread Triple Option with Paul Johnson as OC. Under ERK and Johnson GSU won 6 Nat. Championships.
