Chancellor Robert L. Potts named a Mascot Selection Steering Committee to solicit ideas for a new mascot. He did not release a timetable for when American Indian imagery would be retired or when a new mascot would be announced.

Chancellor Robert L. Potts is changing the mascot in Arkansas. Why didn't he do the same thing while chancellor of the SBOHE in North Dakota to UND? :ranting:

His wife is all about UND, too, I think. I'm sure he had it all laid out in his will what may or may not happen if the name ever changes to the Firetrucks.

Heard awhile ago that Ralph had it in his will that if the name ever changes they can blow up REA!! He's pretty fanatical about the name.
