Since we're asking, does the Poly Mustang have a name? And is it a guy in a suit or the real deal?

Hey GoPoly:

Yes we are coming to the game. Any suggestions as where to stay & places to eat? We're coming in on Thurs. so we have some time for sightseeing and such.

I would make reservations to stay at the Apple Farm. From there you are a short mile from downtown.

As far as hot spots...well it has been many years since I was a student there, but I try to stop in to Spikes for a beer or two and eats (although they changed ownership a year or two ago). Mothers bar is laid back. The tailgate at the game is not as boring as it sounds; it is a lot of fun, especially during Homecoming.

If you come in to town Thursday then farmers market on Hyguera (sp?) street is entertaining as well.

Yo...I forgot if you have Friday to check out the area, there are some nice winieres 5 to 10 miles south of town. Also, north of town in the small town of Pozo (check it out online) there is a bar called the Pozo Saloon, they have some good musicians play there from time to time.

Hey GoPoly:

Thanks so much for the tips, I will pass them on to the trip coordinator (my wife). Currently there are 5 of us going so maybe we can connect before the game. We should be easy to spot, look for 5 people wearing NDSU gear & trying to look sober.;) ;)

Hi Yo. We will also be at the game out there. Not sure on when we're flying in or out yet, but we will be there. We'll probably have our 7 year old daughter with us, so we'll have to take it easy, but we'll be there decked out in NDSU gear!

Thanks for the tips GoPoly!

I know Thunder was Geoff Chilldress from Rugby 2 years ago. Does anyone know if he still does it?? He did a fairly nice job and it was kind of cool to know who was in there.
