Lakes do you really think you are stealing anything? :confused: Or do you think Bo called his old director of basketball operations and asked if he had a spot on his staff for his son? No disrespect intended, it sounds like a solid hire.

Who gives a RIP about the behind the scenes.

Sounds like a fantastic hire. It should also set up for a return visit to Madison in the next year or two. (I might even dream that we'd get to do a two for one........)

This hire is about NAME RECOGNITION!!!! Fantastic hire, I hope it gets finalized very soon. This is a significant upgrade. Congrats to the other coaches as this should help recruiting. Good work Saul!!! lakes, keep us posted with your insid....I mean your connec....nevermind. When it is official, the word will break. T minus 14 minutes until Lakes states that it is official...but it isn't...just very close. Good luck and good work to Saul.

I'm with you, I certainly hope so. I can't think of a football game that I'd rather see than Thundar/Bucky. I don't think they'll want to bring our basketball team back until Woody's gone thought. We'll see!

We have added a replacement to what Jason Kemp did last year, the GA role. He is from Middle Tenn State and has some Wisco ties to Saul. A great hire and a great guy the little I was able to speak with him. Really excited to be in Fargo with this great staff. I for one really like the recent changes to the staff. Ryan and this new GA seem to be a good fit with our current staff. Sorry to bore you with this basketball tid bit, this post has nothing to do with Lakes or his whereabouts. I will try to find out if the new coaches will bring any new recruiting leads. We need to get lucky at some point. Some kid that wants some minutes at the post should be banging down our door. There are minutes to be had.

Dan is a very good hire...for that spot its a steal. Its like getting Craig Smith from Mayville to got to CO State. My point is for that spot...to get some one of his age and background is very lucky. Young staff, but looks like a blessing having the Konkel guy leave.

The position was previously a graduate assistant slot and each of the four previous coaches who served in that capacity under Davis all landed full-time coaching jobs. Dan Weisse most recently held the position and accepted a position on the staff at North Dakota State.
