Not related to NDSU in any way ... good summertime filler ... but Ronnie Thompson, son of HOF coach John Thompson resigned this week at Ball State.

The resignation is related to NCAA off-season rule violations.

This incident has been imbellished by other incidences.

It is a real big soap opera!

Bit of a controversy brewing around this one.

Ronny and JTIII say he and his staff were discriminated against. Apparently Mike Wilbon of the Post and PTI agrees.

Jason Whitlock of the KC Star and Sports Reporters isn't so sure.
