What I think Bisonator was stating is the fiscal year for the NCAA runs from July 1st to June 30th. So on July 1st is the first day that NDSU and SDSU will be competing as D-1 Universities.

Let's just go by our own time zone. I think it would be contingent on the time zone the school is in. We did our time zone when we counted down to the Summit, correct?? Let's do the same thing here.

The Summit League was probably a little more lenient on an official countdown thread. The NCAA, however, is all about rules and procedures. Have you seen how big the NCAA DI manual is???? I sure would hate to see the countdown thread screwed up by something as minuscule as an error in the time zone.

If we take the central time approach, worst case we will be celebrating late, but will not risk a violation by celebrating early.
