She just won the MVP ball at the 2007 Twin Cities Classic in Pierre, SD in a camp that had SDSU verbal Katie Lingle, Purdue verbal Sam Ostarello, Drake verbal Amber Wollschlager, and Iowa State verbal Alexis Yackley. Not too bad for a player that hasn't verbaled yet

Where is Amy and her new hire for recruiting? I really hope NDSU can fix their women's basketball recruiting problem soon. There was no excuse for the drop off in quality after all the national championships in the 1990's.

Unless she's going to walk on, or Amy makes some cuts, I don't see Ali at NDSU. According to my reckoning, the Bison have 17 players on roster for next year (haven't seen the official roster yet) and the schollie limit is 15.

The Bison should graduate 7 players this coming year and one transfered to Mayville...did I mention Ali Collins will only be a junior this coming year?

Ali is my cousin's daughter, she is an outstanding player. She has been playing with the varsity team since 8th grade I believe. It is cool to see her name mentioned here.

That makes a difference. I think Walseth only has 2007-2008 left, so at most, there will be 10 players on the roster for 2008.

Ali Collins, Marlee Finley and the Prarie Shooters are in Sioux Falls at the Dakota Showcase. THe Shooters are 1-2 after three games but Collins is averaging 15 points per game.

Kind of looks that way. Ali ended the toourney averaging 13 points with Finley averaging 9. The Shooters went 1-3.

How many teams?

There was well over 20 teams (or around there). Mostly state AAU and all-star teams. Mandan's was the only one I could think of that used only their high school players.

South Dakota Riders also played with their high school players from Roosevelt in Sioux Falls. They went 2-1 in pool play, only losing to eventual champion Minnesota Metro Stars I.
