I have access on BisonZone - just signed up today. They preempted the game due to the Oklahoma-Oregon late finish.

It is 3-0 Northeastern leads, just starting 2nd quarter.

not too bad of connection, but military computers wont let you live stream some things, but interestingly I am finally getting this. Have to listen to it mainly as the video is extremely choppy-almost like a slide show.

Well, Tony, this is the Trees Bowl, so the North Dakota Forest Service will have some kind of presentation at halftime.

They are giving away saplings at the end of the game. Maybe if you contact the Forest Service they will send you a left-over NORTH DAKOTA sapling.

Impressions so far? For me:

1. NU defense knows how to hit (Schaffner didn't sneak into the game, did he?)
2. NDSU's offense looks pretty efficient when it remembers to bring the ball along with them.
3. NDSU's defense - can't ask for any more.
4. Fairbairn looks like the real deal - can't believe he's a freshman.

I think there's less movement in the half-time show so it doesn't take as much bandwidth (less movement = more data compression). I had the same thing happen

I turned on All Access video feed just to see what kind of reception I was getting.
4th quarter is as smooth and good of quality as one could expect. I will turn it off, now so as not to steal bandwidth from those of you who need it. TV is snowy (ABC is our weakest channel), but the picture is larger!

Last year the video was always choppy and had to be refreshed every couple of minutes just to keep the feed going.

I think video feed is much better than last year, and I have slow DSL (500 kbps or so).

BisonZone is better for me in the second half. I wonder if some viewers dropped out at halftime. I also changed some connection settings in my Windows Media player, so maybe that helped (I doubt it).

It is great to have the game televised but you could really fell the energy leave the crowd during those long t.v. timeouts.

It really felt like the announcer had to keep reminding the fans what was happening in the game. I think it's easy to forget what is goin on when there is an extra 2:30 break thrown in every few minutes.

It was a great crowd. A great game. BISON were strong and the game was never in question. 29 carries for Steffes. Those are Gordon numbers. Great crowd! Lots of fun.

Sounds like the Bison played pretty solid this week. Good luck with Ball State next week. If memory serves me right, I think Purdue was able throw at will against them last week. I could be wrong....but good luck to the Bison next week.... :)

I'm pretty sure Symeon Cabell stayed in the game and carried the ball on the play after he got injured (2.15 into the All Access coverage). I feel terrible for him - he worked awfully hard to get where he is and now he has to wait another year. NDSU's depth at RB is one thing, but right now, I'm just worried about the player - only good thing about a broken bone is that they usually heal up with no lasting effects. I hope that's what happens here. The guy is a warrior.

Steffes took some huge shots too... a couple where the ball got between him and the ground made me hold my breath until he got up. He must be one sore puppy today.

He was running as good as Steffes. I didn't know he was hurt either until I saw him with the trainer in the tunnel.

Passing game was close on Saturday. Eliminate some dropped passes and overthrows, and it will look pretty good.

I think the playcalling has been conservative by design, so far. No need to show your cards if you don't need to.


Did I read that right somewhere, only one down of sending more than four at the QB in the Northeastern game?? I think the defense still has a LOT up their sleeves.


14/23 passing will not get the job done in a WCO against the likes of Ball State, UC-Davis, Cal-Poly, and Minnesota. Same goes with putting the ball on the turf three times. Same goes with virtually no return game on special teams (although I don't mind having good hands on punt returns).
