515 yds total offense and less than 100 on the ground. I thought we might have trouble getting it up to the 280 yd mark. BSU has been allowing that much this season.

Stat wise if this game wasnt on the road at DI-A Ball State I would have predicted a BISON route. As it was I stayed conservative on the 3 point spread. Ball State was a huge step up from the average 500 DI-AA team.

Ball State and their fans are a great bunch. It was a tough game. Congratulations to both teams for such a great game. Go BISON!!!!!

NDSU will have to show a LOT more than they did against Northeastern if they hope to win.

The efficiency of the passing game will be critical to the success of the Bison. The running game, well, it will either be there or not, but the passing game is what will determine a W or L.

Special teams will also have to perform better, especially the return game, if a win is to happen.

Wow, my post sounds really negative, even though I believe a Bison win is possible, especially with the Bison operating at 100%. Here's a bright spot from a post on BSUfans:

I agree KChats but one thing that will be different is that Minnesota has a better passing game then Ball State and the passing game tonight was what hurt us. We will need to do a much better job on pass D against Minnesota or it may not be as close. But running the ball on this defense won't be an easy task for Minnesota. Either way it will be a fun game and who knows like they say Any given Saturday. It will take a monumental effort by the Bison against Minnesota if they want to repeat this result. Great Win by NDSU!!!!! :D

Great win - thankfully, the wday audio webcast was flawless. Tremendous effort on both sides of the ball. I hope to make it down to the Stephen F. Austin game next week and see some Bison fans in the great state of Texas next week!
