The head football coach, Mark Mauer, used to be the OC under Bob Babich.

He's also a Cornhusker!

hahaha, I would be shocked if they scored 10. They would have to have one hell of an offense.

The last time we played these guys it was 58-24. And that was BEFORE we added 27 scholarships!

Joe Mauer is his cousin. And his brother Tom refs in the NCC. And I believe brother Kenny refs in the NBA. Also Mark Mauer was with Don Morton at Wisconsin .

Interesting. They may be keying on this game because of the poor showing last time. Obviously they will consider a 14 pt loss a win. Looking at a lot like IM looking at the Gopher Game. The only risk we have is overlooking them. I think the NSIC limits Scholies to 21?

Good game for NDSU, CSP and the NSIC. I look forward to seeing them in the FFD and hope they bring a few fans to the party.

That was also when CSP had their Mr. Everything on offense, I believe his name was McNear.

Most of their points also came in garbage time after NDSU had put in third teamers, if I remember correctly.

Yes, CSP's last two TD's were in the fourth, but they did lead the Mighty Bison 3-0 in the first quarter!!!

CSP did score first and led 3-0. *Heres the Box score from that game:

http://www.gobison.com/downloads1/1052.HTM?ATCLID=74347&SPSID=11850&SPID=695&DB_OEM_ ID=2400

It was 9-3 NDSU at the end of the first. *Allen Burell scored on a 10 yd run on the 12 play of a 71 yd 5:46 drive that put the BISON ahead 7-3 following the extra pt. *That drive established the BISON as the superior team. *Later in the first qtr the game was truly over after an NDSU safety made it 9-3 at the end of the 1st. *

They did tie us in the 4th, 14-14, after getting shut out in the 3rd 7-0 and dropping the second qtr 28-7.

Heres the story for anybody that wants to reminisce:

Defense, Malone Score Three Times Each In 58-24 Rout Of Bears (http://www.gobison.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=11850&SPID=695&DB_OEM_ID=24 00&ATCLID=74347

One thing in CSP's favor is this year it is in the beginning of the season. *SU will probably play a vanilla offense and defense to avoid tipping their hats for future opponents. *I think the only way CSP gets over 10 points is if the second and third string guys are in for the entire second half. *The reserves might get a little winded...
