They're Eagles, and this is where to keep up on them- http://www.georgiasoutherneagles.com/home.aspx

With a complete restructuring of their offense this year, this might be the biggest question mark game.

I remember a time recently NDSU visited a team that completely overhauled their offense. I believe the game was in Misseryoola, or something like that....

Georgia Southern has six I-AA national championships!

They're as to DI-AA as what NDSU was to DII.

New everything in Statesboro this year......nobody really knows what to expect....all I know is that I will be there for every game enjoying every minute...anyone who makes the trek south needs to stop by the Red Flag crew while tailgating....real down home southern hospitality...make sure your fed and don't go thristy for sure...plus they love to talk football!!....Wabbits brought maybe 20 or 30 people when they visited two years ago...enjoy seeing new teams come into town...see where y'all are ranked above us in one poll....that would be really interesting if you came into the Boro...thats what we call Statesboro...ranked above us...I know y'all are counting down the days just like we are.....any requests for your tailgating menu???....we can supply all the fixin's for you....GATA!!!

If you were partying with a "wabbit" last year, you probably meant to say Brookings, not Billings, which is located in Montana. ;D ;D

Hello Bison fans!!!

My name on www.tscsports.com is N2RFG-Eagle.

I want to take time to cordially invite all of the Bison fans to tailgate with the RED FLAG Gang at Paulson Stadium in Statesboro. We have always welcomed our opponents' fans to enjoy our southern hospitality at the game. If you would like a certain food, you will need to notify me. I am the chef. We try to offer food that you don't get often in North Dakota.

I am looking forward to meeting the Bison fans that make the trip south.

Maybe, Gil Dobie will make the trip. I read a lot of his posts on the AGS board.

Have a good summer and stay in touch. We will see you in October.

Hello Eagle,

I will be at the game in october. Our alumni association usually tries to set up a tailgate area for all of our road games. I have not seen the plans for this fall yet, but some of us will be there for your hospitality.

I believe I heard that the Red Flag Gang is one of, if not THE, best tailgating parties in all of I-AA.

If anyone is going, this is an offer that cannot be refused!

You must stop by to chat and meet the Gang. We are true ambassadors of I-AA football. We try to make our visitors at home by providing them with the best hospitality.

Our Tailgate Group takes pride in promoting good sportsmanship among opponents.

More than likely, your Alumni tent will be about 100 yards from out area. Stop by.

BTW, GSU does have those type of fans whose actions don't promote goodwill.

Normally in October, home games start at 1:00pm. This game may be televised so the start time will probably change. I would venture to guess that the two times available for tv would be 3:30pm or 6:00pm.

Just my guess from previous games.

It has been a tradition to start at 1:00 pm,except for the first couple of games in September because it is still in the mid-90's. However, with the new head coach, this may change. There have been so many changes since December, nobody knows what to expect. As for "The Prettiest Little Stadium in America" it holds 18,000. I look foward to metting y'all. This should be a fun game.

It is a home/home contract, with the game in Fargo either in 2007 or 2008 (yet to be determined - Gene Taylor preferred 2007 when the contract was announced).

If looking to challenge for play-off spot in first year of eligibility, this game in Fargo should be scheduled in '08. This is a year in/out play-off team contender, and want to catch them out of home field if can.

This should be an outstanding game in Statesboro. If I catch a live game this fall, this is the one I'll shoot for attending. Closest to SW FL for the DSU's.

I think the original preference for having GSU return to Fargo in 2007 stemmed from the possiblity of NDSU playing a more extensive conference schedule in 2008 (i.e. being in the Big Sky or Gateway). Since time is running out on that scenario, it probably would be better to have the GSU game at home in 2008 to help get quality opponents at home. Also, as a side note, the 2008 regular season has 14 Saturdays --- I-AA teams are allowed to play 12 games.

If we get GSU at home in 2008 it will almost be a must win, because we'll be playoff eligible. It would look great to have a win against GSU that year. ;D

Probabily, this tailgate will start around 9:00am if the start time is after 1:00pm.

Should the game start at 1:00pm, you can bet the tailgate will start earlier. The beverages are available earlier. [smiley=vrolijk_1.gif] [smiley=grin.gif]

How bout anything that is unique to your area as far as the food goes...When playing the wabbits last year...they fed us some pheasant smothered in some type of gravy...hmmmm It was good....and for me I prefer beer ...cold is my fav but maybe a good local beer would be nice....I understand Chubs will be the place to party the night before with the local Bison fans...is this true?...can't wait!!.....GATA!!!

I wouldn't say unique to this area but there are a lot of ethnic dishes from Germany and Scandinavia around here like fleishkuekle(sp?), knephla soup and Lefse, rossettas and Kuchen. Maybe some Redeye or chokecherry wine for the drinkers. Of course there is also chokecherry jelly. Maybe someone could cook up some sharptail grouse seeing how you already had pheasant in SD.

As far as sweet tea, you might have a hard time locating that up here. Mountain Dew, on the other hand, flows freely up here, as would be expected from the sweet nectar of the gods.

I don't sprechen(sp?) Deutsch, but I assume you are asking if I am German or Norwegian.

I am mostly Norwegian but also some German along with Scotch-Irish and a few other ethnicities mixed in for good measure.

I'll get it started, and maybe some of our friends from down South can help us out.

3 quarts of water
2 cups of sugar
4 tea bags

Bring water to a boil Add sugar until dissolved. Add tea bags.
Let it cool.

Sound alright?

That pretty much covers it. The key is to add heat. All sugar does in cold tea is make sand in the bottom of the pitcher. Also, never add lemon!

Georgia Southern wide receiver Teddy Craft died from injuries in a motorcycle accident.

The senior was injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night near Statesboro.

He was in critical condition Wednesday night, and his death was confirmed Thursday by Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. He had been taken to East Georgia Regional Medical Center, then airlifted to Memorial.

The school said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Craft, of Hartwell, was a second-team All-Southern Conference pick the past two years. He led the Eagles in reception yards (319) and touchdowns (5) last season. He caught four of his five touchdown passes during the final two games.
