Northern Colorado is in the Big Sky.

I think UNC was a solid selection and a natural fit in the Big Sky. Having said that I think that with a little moving around of teams NDSU and SDSU could also be good fits, but UNC is definitely having a rough go of it this year.

I like the Mid Con and hopefully the Gateway Football Conference next season, much better.

I'm not trying to pour on the UNC situation than people already have, but I thought this was worthy of a post. It looks like this unfortunate case is getting even crazier.

DENVER -- Prosecutors filed a charge of attempted first-degree murder against a former University of Northern Colorado backup punter accused of stabbing the starter in his kicking leg in a case that drew comparisons to the Tonya Harding-Nancy Kerrigan rivalry.

Yeah, I feel bad for the folks at UNC, they certainly didn't need this. The west coasters certainly must be fielding some behind the scenes heat for this given the support they provided as well as the lack of support for the Dak schools. Good luck to UNC and hopefully they can salvage some form of respect from the other member BSC schools.

Doesn't help having your football team get thrashed week in and week out.

I hated to see them leave the GWFC, but after all this and the illegal practices.......I am glad they are gone..... :P

I always thought trying to field a team and call them murderers row was for Baseball but apparently at UNC they're trying to change that to football too ;D ;D ;D
