So the Mid-Con is terrible? Fellow Great West and soon-to-be Mid-Con mate Southern Utah upset Utah last night 76-73. This is the type of win that will get the Mid-Con up in conference rankings.

Here is the SUU story:

I saw that scrolling on ESPN this morning and that was the first thing I thought. I says to myself, I says, "Nice win for the conference", I says.

Ray Jak is on his way out of Utah if he keeps this up. Last year was miserable, and an early season loss to SUU will put the pressure on.

One day this fall while I was walking to class, I had this little fantasy in my head that in March 2009, we were playing Southern Utah in the Mid-Con championship game with a Big Dance berth on the line at the new Sprint Center in Kansas City, and the game was on ESPN2.

Maybe I'm psychic??? No.

But I think SUU hoops may surprise some people in the future.

ORU is up on Kansas right now. Be a decent win for the mid-con, despite Kansas's recent troubles in the tournament ;D ;D ;D.

Yes, I can tell you that things are starting to get a bit nasty for him in Salt Lake City.......

He got his payday but hasn't shown results. He better step up or he'll be headed for a big pay cut.
