Paul Rudolph, the offensive coordinator at St. Cloud State, was chosen to be the new head football coach for Minot State.

Don't know if this has anything to do with the Huskies possible move to the NSIC. However, Minot State is thinking about moving "up" to D-II, and it would be interesting to see if Rudolph gets a chance to coach against his former team in the near future.

Seems to me that this could be a move made looking towards the future and D-II in a couple short years......get a guy in there with some D-II experience to get the ball rolling. *Is he from ND anywhere near Minot?

Ironically Rudolph was 2nd in the running for the Minot job 8-9 years ago. Many thought he was the man for the job back then. Interesting . . .

Paul graduated in 1984, I believe, from Stanley, ND. His father, Jerry, coached football and wrestling. Paul was a hell of a wrestler also, I think he took state a couple times. :)
