Megan Vogel of SDSU was drafted #19 today by the Washington Mystics. :)
Hopefully she will earn a spot on the season roster.

The Mystics also addressed a need to bolster depth at small forward by drafting 5-foot-11 Megan Vogel from South Dakota State in the second round with the 19th overall pick. Vogel averaged 15.4 points for the Jackrabbits, Division I independents since moving up from Division II in 2004, Vogel's sophomore year.

"I would say this is one of the best unknown players in the draft, but people did know about her," Hargrove said of Vogel, who enhanced her reputation during the pre-draft camp.

"She is really complete. There is no flaw in her game. As you looked at all the other players in the draft, there were very few complete players."

I would go on a limb and say her chances are pretty good of making the team and getting some good PT, considering Washington has been watching her for the last year and a half.

Former South Dakota State University women’s basketball standout Megan Vogel has been waived by the Washington Mystics of the WNBA.

She was waived on the final day of roster cuts. WNBA teams must trim their rosters to a maximum of 13 players by Saturday, when the season opens.

Well....That sucks but I have a feeling this isn't the last we've heard of her.

Blue, do you see her going overseas to play now?

Back in December her mom said Europe was a strong possibility either that or going to grad school. I think Europe is the leading option, IMHO.
