One of my students, Melissa (I'll butcher the last name), has been a hitting machine! She had TWO grandslams in the first 2 games. VERY impressive! :D

This could be the kind of season that gets a multi million softball stadium built! ;D

A stadium would be nice or a dome for practice...that BBF gets cramped in the winter.
The Bison travel to San Diego this weekend, where we should have one of the largest groups of fans. 3 of the 4 opponents are tough, which will give them a reading of where they stand. Feeling a little sorry for those MIDCON folks...won't be winning a title in softball after next year!

Approval for construction of a new softball stadium is being requested in this legislative session. With privately raised funds, of course.

I saw that it was part of a bigger plan to upgrade the softball, soccer, and track/field complex. Cost was something like $4-5 million.

Lost today against San Diego as they rallied for 5 runs. That takes the record to 11-3 with the toughest test of the year going against #25 Oregon who is 11-1. Time is at 4. The next REAL tests will be against #6 LSU and #15 Washinton in the Washington Invitational which is the next one coming up.

GOOD LUCK LADIES!!!

The Bison looked great this weekend. Really represented NDSU. Considering that last year it took until the end of March to collect 12 wins, this is a nice start. The next few tournaments will test the team and coach's DI aptitude.

yeah i was paying attention to the Oregon game, the Bison stranded alot of runners, they had alot of chances they just kept hitting into double plays. Oregon had one big inning and that did the ladies in. good luck the rest of the way!!
