Big win to get the taste of that Valley City game out or their mouths. It'd be great to win again tomorrow, or at least play a tough game so they can carry some momentum into their weekend series against SDSU. Good win guys.

When I saw the news that our Bison had beaten the Iowa Hawkeyes in baseball on Tuesday, I had to call my buddy who lives in Iowa City. *He is a Hawkeye fan and attends many of the Hawkeye baseball games.

He told me he did, in fact, go to both NDSU/Iowa games this week...an 11-8 Bison victory and a 13-8 Bison loss. *He went on to say that if he didn't know it, he would have thought the Bison were a typical Big 10 team. *He said the Bison played at a high level in every facet of the game.

Baseball, and all sports for that matter, can be tough to explain. *Splitting a double header with VC at home, then splitting a series on the road against Iowa.

As the entire Bison athletics program has been elevated to D1, we must all be patient.

Don't forget, it's that "vision thing." *It's the big picture.

Go Bison!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baseball is also unpredictable because of the 'pitcher' factor. If you are a 'lesser' team, you could still win if your pitcher throws a masterful game. The best team doesn't always win a one-game-scenario, but should win in an extended series.

that's exactly why it is unbelievable that they only have 4 wins in 32 games.
There has got to be a day here or there where they play above their level.

Hopefully they can take 3/4 at least from the Jacks.

Go BIson

Way off season for this, but does anyone know if more trips to Iowa City are likely? I live within walking distance of the baseball field, but didn't find out about the games until the day after the series ended! argh. >:(
