SDSU-NDSU baseball series moved to Omaha
The weekend baseball series between South Dakota State and North Dakota State has been moved to Omaha, Neb., due to forecast cold temperatures in Brookings.

Instead of being played over three days, the four-game series will consist of doubleheaders Friday and Saturday at the Creighton Sports Complex. Action is scheduled to begin at noon each day with a nine-inning game followed by a seven-inning game.

All four games are scheduled to be broadcast on Brookings-based KJJQ 910 AM, with Saturday's games slated to be carried on KCCR 1240 AM in Pierre. Broadcasts also will be available online at GoJacks.com.

But is the ground white in Omaha? Hard to field those ground balls in the snow banks. :)

No snow banks to be found on the fields here.

I never liked that field at Creighton because it is so skewed towards ridiculous offense. I'm not sure the dimensions, but it plays very small, the whole field slants down to the outfield walls so a hard grounder that gets through the infield could be extra bases at any time, and the padding on the walls just sucks the ball in so that the outfielders have to go all the way out and get it most of the time. I'm surprised they ever get anyone willing to pitch there.

SDSU takes yesterday's game 6-3 and today's 10-3. Jacks go to 14-10 for the season while the Bison slip to 3-17.

This is what happens when you don't give your coaches enough money to go after recruits. Good job GT.

Sitting in the same spot as last year only alot of closer games and cant get over the hump. They need Zimmerman to shake out of it ASAP. He needs to step up, make the adjustments and start driving in runs. His play at the plate has been unacceptable. He is too good of a player and expected to contribute alot to the team to be hitting around .150. If he turns it around the offense will as well.
