Bison women probably had an even more dominating performance, but the results were skewed as NCC track powerhouse UND was not present at this meet. UND instead chose to participate in the highly touted Cobber Duals. UND showed their track prowess by getting their butts kicked by the likes of Concordia College , Minnesota State Moorhead, Jamestown College, University of Mary, St. Benedict, and Bermidji State.

I don't know a lot about track, but winning ten events is a good thing, right?

What Coles did is pretty amazing. I hear that three of the people that placed above her in the 800 are endorsed through Nike. The other girl was from BYU- correct me if I'm wrong.
Coles' time is the best in D-II this season.

The Bison women are something else again. They've been DI caliber for several years now.

They have some really good youngsters on the team too.

Looks like both split squads did well. I'm pretty sure that if the full squads were at the Cobber Invite they would have dominated ;). Lots of qualifiers and the men sprinters did well against some DI opponents at the Adidas Classic at Nebraska-

I love track and the Bison team. Both teams are doing very well. (note: I should proofread what I write. I meant to write, "I love track, and both teams are doing very well." I don't think I'm ready to say, "I love you," to the Bison track team :) )

BTW, there's a junior out of Kindred named Halley Odegaard who high jumped over 5'9 last year. I keep wondering if that was a misprint (it would have placed her in the top 12 at the DI NCAAs). That is a heck of a jump. I wonder if she is related to the Odegaard who high jumped for NDSU in recent years.

Men and Women kick butt once again. On the women's side, Thieschafer set the longest triple jump for DII on the year, and Srenkowski set a new BSA record for the pole vault.

The track teams showed impressive wins in the University of Miami Hurricane meet. Looking through the results on gobison.com, it looks like NDSU was the only D2 team at the meet.

I saw those results on www.anygivensaturday.com. Pretty impressive with the Bison taking the top 2 and 4 of the top 5 places in the 800 M.

Kinsey Coles kicks butt at the Drake Relays and wins the 800m including a field of 12 DI athletes. If she improves her 800m time by 1.2 seconds, she would qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials! :o
