99% of you already know it but, Allen Burrell broke NDSU's 100m record held by Mandan's own Mike Eckroth.

I hope the 200m goes well for the football guys.

Gotta like that Essler cut half a second of his personal best in the 400m too.

what were the times?

Allen Burrell ran a 10.22.
Jared Essler ran a 47.01 and Marques Johnson ran a 47.24 (a little disappointing because he ran a 46.69 recently, peaked just a little too early).

Burrell and Johnson run the 200 meter prelims today.

I mentioned them because they are football players but there are a lot of other guys having an excellent meet. I'll wait until the meet is over for a recap.

I think you can add Burrell's 100 time to the list of records that will never be broken. Does anybody know if it was wind-aided. Not trying to take anything away from him, but isn't that like .2 to .3 seconds faster than he's ever ran it. That's a lot of time to shave off in the 100 m.
How would that time compare to DI champions?

it is scary to think that someone is gonna have to cover Burrell on the football field.

uncbear,

N. Colorado has a WR that also has some cover problems in Vincent Jackson. I think he will be playing on Sundays in the future.

When NDSU plays UNC it looks like it will be a track meet. between our guy Vincent Jackson and I think your 4x100 has 3 members on the football team.

It seems like it has the makings of a high scoring game. It will be like those battles NDSU and UNC had back in the 90's where the score ended up like 37-35 with each team taking the lead away from the other every time the offense got the ball.

I suppose this should be under the football heading but everything always seems to come back to football--I can't help myself.
