FARGO, ND--Setter Stormi Harvey will transfer from Garden City (KS) Community College to North Dakota State University to continue her education and play volleyball for the Bison. Harvey will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Harvey, a 5-foot-8 junior from Lubbock, TX (Montorey High School), ranked No. 2 in assists (12.98 apg) in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I statistics. She hit .231 with a team-high 87 service aces and 74 total blocks.

Harvey directed the Broncbusters to a 39-13 record overall and second place showing at the NJCAA Region VI District M tournament last year. She transferred from East Central College in Union, MO, after the school announced it was dropping volleyball.

Harvey was named to the 2002 NJCAA Region VI All-District M second team and was honorable mention on the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Western Division team.

While in high school, Harvey played for Texas Block Party, one of the top J.O. club teams in the state of Texas.

Harvey rounds out an impressive group of newcomers to the NDSU volleyball program. The list also includes: Mankato West High School's 6-foot outside hitter Chloe Quirk (Mankato, MN); Fargo North High School's 5-foot-10 outside hitter Sheila Parrish (Fargo, ND); LaMoure High School's 6-1 outside hitter/middle hitter Lindsay Shockman (LaMoure, ND), Willmar High School's 6-1 middle hitter Danielle Dahl (Willmar, MN) and Hopkins High School's 6-0 right side/middle hitter Kelly Kaufmann (Minnetonka, MN).
