Abbey Perez. *5'5" libero out of Wisconsin.

Abbey was a part of a club team that took 3rd at Nationals 16 under in the open division 2 years ago. *The open division is the most competitve division in all of junior volleyball. *Those Wisconsin girls can sure play the game over there.

You can view a little information of Abbey's club at their home page,

Damn. Averaging 8 kills a game is pretty sick, especially around the Minneapolis competition. That's about 1/3 of the points of each game, coming on her kills alone.

Welcome to NDSU Chrissy.

Silk do you see both these young ladies playing as freshmen?

I'm not sure. It isn't as hard in volleyball to come into a program and play as a freshmen like it is in basketball/football because strength is never an issue against a competitior.

Kari Fagnan will be a senior so she should hold up the libero position for another year. Unless Coach H feels NDSU is weak on the defensive side I don't think Perez will be needed much this year. But who knows she could be that good, come in and beat someone out.

Chrissy is an interesting prospect. She seems to be a physical specimen, and would likely have no trouble translating to the college game, but if she can't keep up with the speed of it, the game will move too fast for her this year and she wouldn't make much of an impact. She will definitely have the oppurtunity. If she can adjust to the speed of the game she could likely get a M/RS position unless Coach H wants to move Lopez over from the OH spot, than that would open up an OH position.

NDSU will likely be young at middle/rightside. It's crucial to good blockers in both those positions because you want to shut down the other teams power on the outside.

I'm not sure how those girls look that transferred in last year after the semester.
