Jack women beat Kentucky 57-55 at the Paradise Jam in St Thomas Virgin Islands. Were down by 4 at the half and by as many as 11 in the second half before mounting a come back and getting our first DI win. Jacks were beat yesterday by Rutgers #18 team in the country 68-50 after being down just 3 at the half. Stayed close until 11 minutes left. This a very good team that will beat some other DI teams before they are done this year. Up next Oregon State on Saturday.

Not a bad win. Kentucky is not the basketball power that the Wildcat men are ..yet. But the coach is Mickie DeMoss who was a sidekick to Pat Summit at Tennessee. Additionally, Kentucky has a frosh class that ranks in the top five in terms of recruiting. A huge win for the Jackrabbit women. I think they take on Oregon State tomorrow...a team Kentucky defeated on T-Giving day. They might not have to wait too long before they pick up their second win.

Oregon State jumped out to a huge lead and then had to hold off SDSU as the Jacks made a charge. THe final score was OSU 68, SDSU 65.

Jacks women lead 26-9 over Northern Illinois. Promising start against a marginal DI team. We have a lot of those on the schedule this year and should get quite a few wins.

Jacks women lead 41-22 at the half. They should finish this team off.

Jacks men lead 31-28 at the half. Offense is going to continue to be a problem for us this year. We only have one real scorer, and he is a freshman.

NDSU is ahead of Northern by 8 right now with just a few minutes left. The game is in Aberdeen. Its been a good game but the Bison Zone webcast isnt dropping out way way way too much.

Jacks women win handily 67-42. They will carry the torch during our first winter as a DI team.

Men leading 55-38 with 8 minutes left. Should get our first DI win tonight. SEMO best player benched for this game, really helping our cause. I hope we can hang on and get this landmark victory.

I think it's the audio feed- I was listening on WDAY-AM, and it was completely dropping audio every so often. The women's game from the BSA seemed to be fine.

Jacks blow it missing the front end of three 1 on 1's with under a minute to play, SEMO hits a 3 at the buzzer to win 59-58. Typical of a loss by a young, inexperienced team. We just don't know how to win right now. This one hurts a lot worse than any of the previous blowouts. Damn!!

Did I read that correctly, jackmd, that the rabbits only scored 3 pts in the last 8 minutes ?
