Just pretend that women's BB was eligible for post season.

With their record, would they get an invite to the big dance this season dispite playing mostly low level teams?

no way they make the big dance, but maybe the NIT

one problem is that the NIT puts a lot of value on attendance and folks haven't been coming out like they used to or will be in the future.

i think making the nit and having some home games would be great for the program.

Sounds like the women's NIT is possible next year for NDSU. Previously, WDAY had reported that they wouldn't be eligible and would be petitioning to be eligible earlier, but it now sounds like NDSU will be eligible next year.

Not possible. Even though an undefeated looks impresive and should surely show that if possible we should be in, the situation could not happen. In order to qualify for the "dance" you must be playing a full D1 schedule. Since we are in a transitional period and our first year, the best we can get is a handfull of D1 games with mostly D2 and lower games. So again, the scenario isn't possible. This in now way denegrates our perfect season so far. I think soneone else said it on this message board before that you can only beat the teams you play. When you have no conference title to play for of national title to shoot for, the best you can do is try to win every game you play. So far the Bison women have done just that. Let's hope the season ends the way everyone hopes it does; in perfection.

TCU should be a real challenge for the gals.

On the flip side playing an independent schedule allows you to play a much tougher schedule if you so choose and thus gain a higher RPI for tournament time. A typicall conference schedule limits you on the number of non-conference games you can play.
