Two seniors played their final game yesterday for the Bison yesterday as NDSU blew out Grand Canyon State 91-50. Lacey Johnson led the Bison scoring with 17 points but also contributed 3 assists and 3 steals. Leah Klabo had 12 points and 7 boards. Fellow classmate Amanda Krenz is out with an injury sustained in the TCU game.
Amanda's solid long range shooting will be missed. She finishes her stint at SU career as #3 on the Bison career 3pt. shooting list and as #2 in number of 3 pt. shots taken.
Leah really matured to be a consistent offensive and defensive threat in the paint this year. She made the 1,000 point club (1,018) and is 3rd all time in blocked shots.
Lacey was the Bison Jack-of-all-trades. If we needed 3 pt. shooting, she was there, if we needed assists, she did that. At 6 ft., she was long an lean enough to get rebounds and block shots (she finishes 7th on the Bison career block list). A great leader for this team.
Thanks to the ladies for making this a great year for Bison Women's basketball.
