The 90's were quite a decade for the Bison women!

Having the national championship game on the BSA floor and televised live on ESPN was pretty sweet too.

For those that were not around 10 years ago:

The Bison women played in the title game at the BSA four times in the 90's.

1992 Delta State beat NDSU 65-63 with 7,101 fans
1994 Bison beat Cal-San Bernadino 89-56 with 6,806 fans
1995 Bison beat Portland State 98-85 with 7,138 fans
1996 Bison beat Shippensburg 104-78 with 6,534 fans

I was lucky, I guess. I was there for all four of those championships as I was at 'SU from the fall of '92 to the fall of '96. I was a prowd supporter, who got on ESPN or ESPN2 when they covered the title contests in the rowdy student section. The student section actually moved for the postseason to the south baseline bleachers.

Those teams in 1995 and 1996 were incredible. I believe 95 was the year they went undefeated and they went a long time in 1996 before losing as well. Kasey Morlock would put the team on her back and carry them to a win when the team wasn't playing well. Very deserving selections.
