What great insight. Maybe you should call up Gene and tell him to fire a Hall of Fame coach, and hire you because you wouldn't recruit a student-athlete that has a single-digit game in HS. ::)

It might mean more if she was struggling with Amy as her coach. If Amy sees something worth recruiting her as a division I player then I'm sure she is one.

I'll wait to pass judgement on them until they don the green and gold (unless, of course, that's their HS colors :-/).

I'll take student-athletes with not-so-great numbers that can help NDSU win over student-athletes with spectacular HS stats that don't add anything to the team besides a few good stats. I don't see any reason to question Amy's recruiting so far.

I think I'll rely on Amy's judgement of talent. .

Armstrong 67, Cooper 53:

Megan Shea kept shooting and kept swishing. By the end of the night, the Armstrong senior guard had poured in a career-high 31 points, including four three-pointers. And her team had earned an improbable trip to the state tournament with a 67-53 victory over crosstown rival Cooper in the Class 4A, Section 5 title game at Park Center.

"The last game, I didn't shoot very well," said Shea, who was coming off a 14-point performance in the fifth-seeded Falcons' 52-45 semifinal upset of top seed Maple Grove. "This game, I hit a few and they started dropping. I kept shooting, and the crowd kept screaming! It was fun."

Armstrong advances to its first state tournament berth since 2001 in spite of its 11-16 record, by beating a 12-15 Cooper team that had also upset its way to the sectional finals. The Falcons' reward: a state quarterfinal date with Bloomington Kennedy, the defending Class 4A champion.

Patrick Reusse mentioned that one public High School that was in the state tourney, should also list the players hometown's. :)
