Weird stats...Bison have 2 rebounds both offensive to UNA's 9...UNA has missed 6 shots.

Bison up 24-22 at the half.

UG--ly.

UNA has 12 first half TOs. Bison have 8.

UNA is 2-8 from FT line, Bison are 3-8.

Bright spot for Bison is post player Jerri Penley and her 8 points and 5 boards both stats of which lead the Bison.

You all still excited for the Lady Gophers to come to town? ;)

Interesting that you mention the Gophers....they were dropped hard at home by Middle Tennessee State, a MTSU that took defending national champs Maryland down to the wire: a MTSU team that was beaten by South Dakota State at home....

Was at the game this afternoon.

The Bison are not too good, but they are going to get better.

I noticed a lot of growth on behalf of a number of players especially Penley who had her best game ever as a Bison.

If they play well they'll beat the Gophers.

11/29 free throws... that was really painful to watch

they have the athleticism and talent to represent the bison.

they need to learn to play together as a team.

With respect, sincerely, I disagree about the athletes. They will represent with their effort and determination, no doubt. Not athletic enough to beat DI teams.

i'm definitely no basketball expert, i've been to all but a few of the DI games that the Bison have played the last few years and watched a number of Big Twelve games in Ames when i was going to grad school. i disagree with coach w on the team athleticism, of course i'm just a bison, not a coach.

NAU made the tournament last year and is returning four starters. NDSU took them to overtime.

i can't believe some folks are ready to write this team off.............

I truly hope I'm wrong. You're right, let's not write them off. I would much prefer to see in state schools suceed, regardless of what level they play at. :)

I also don't believe this team is athletic enough to compete with other D1 teams.

They seem to play hard, and put up a lot of effort, but there isn't one person on this team that really stands out athletically, IMHO.

Where's Katie Lorenzen when you need someone.

IowaBison

so taking the team that represented the Big Sky in the NCAA tournament last year to overtime isn't competing?

i'll admit that we don't have an athlete who will dominate every game, but how many of those are there at the DI level.

Katie Lorenz has graduated that's what's supposed to happen in college athletics. She was a gifted athlete.

FYI: The Northern Arizona coach was recruited by Amy, but she decided to attend St Thomas instead. She was a 3 time all-american there.
