Bison trailed in this one big time but came back and got the win to advance to the championship game. Arlington was probably the best team in the tourney so this is a good win for the Bison.

The Final score was 59-54 and the Bison rallied from 9 down at the half to take the game from Texas-Arlington. T-A has already beaten Northern Arizona and only lost to number 17 Michigan State by 5. Lisa Bue had 19 points including 3 fer 3 from beyond the arc *(I don't know if she had totaled 3 3 pt. shots total prior to this point in her Bison career). *Jerri Penley had 8 points, 6 boards, and 2 blocks. *Emily Moran also had 8 points.

Good win Bison!!

Way to go ladies! I heard Amy talking on the sports that she was going to play the back-up point guard more. I wonder if that happened and if it was a factor?

I'm not sure who started at the point as both Dahlen's and Bue made up the backcourt.

Moran, who had been starting played only 9 minutes but she made two huge 3 pointers in teh waning minutes of the game.
Hodgson played 20 minutes and had 4 points, 2 assists and 0 Tos.
Sanden played 14 minutes and had 4 points.

Good win for Amy and the gals. Hope this is the spark they need to get it going. Sanden played 14 minutes? Huh, my oh my.

I lied about the Texas-Arlington - MSU score. It was a 14 to 15 point game. But, anyhoo...Bison beat a team that they lost to last year and a team who returned their top 4 players. Good win and sounds like we will go up against the host Montana State.

Interesting notes:

Bison ended the game on an 11 point run. Get this, they were 20-23 from the FT line. (How long ago was that OT loss to Northern Arizona where the Bison went 11-29). Bison also were 5-12 from 3 pt. land.

Bue played out of her mind (maybe for the first time this season) and Penley was solid inside. Moran was huge off the bench. Maybe Amy should stick to that strategy.

Noticeably silent: Dani Heintzelman (hope she is doing OK) and Ali Sonstelie (who only had 7 minutes).

Game tomorrow is a winnable one. Go Bison.
